I just want to start by saying that I am feeling a little ADD this morning. I sat down to start blogging about 20 minutes ago and realized about 5 minutes into it that I had started a burner on the stove and gotten everything ready to make pancakes. Macy came in screaming at me "EAT, EAT" (screaming is all that we know how to do these days). And - the lightbulb came on - I have something else I need to be doing. Ahhh...pancakes...My pancakes did not look like this at ALL. I cannot ever get the right amount of water in the shake and bake pancake batter. Pathetic, I know.
I got a full night of sleep last night. (Imagine me saying this in my best bragger voice) I dont know what has gotten into Chase and Macy over the past few months but it is almost as if they are trying to push us to our ultimate parenting limits. Chase was up ALL night on Sunday night - I mean literally - crying until 4am. And Macy, oh Macy...in regards to sleeping issues - I walk her or carry her back into her room about 15-30 times each night before she stays in there...then she consistently gets up at 5:30-6:30am and comes on in our room. But that is not really the extent of my issues with Macy right now. She is just so demanding. I feel silly even saying that because...of course she is ... she is 2.5. BUT - she is crazy demanding. Like Psycho.
I need a vacation.
That's all there is to it.
One day...oh yes...one day I will take a vacation. Kip and I will leave our darling children with someone that we trust and love. We will go to the airport with our suitcases in hand. We will get on an airplane and fly far, far away. We will arrive on a beach. **It will be an adults only beach** We will soak up the sun and silence for a few days. We will start to miss our children terribly and we will come home to them.
One day.
I dont have any pictures for you today because the camera is dead. I hate that when that happens. But let me tell you that Kip and I have serious issues with starting projects around our house. Here is a list of a few things we have going on:
1. Removed light fixture in breakfast room...will replace with recessed lighting but have not yet
2. Removed popcorn from one room in house - needs another coat of paint on ceiling
3. Removed sink and cabinet from half bathroom downstairs - will be installing a pedestal sink eventually - used cabinet to start built in unit around the fireplace
4. Need to set and grout two tiles that were under the cabinets in the bathroom
5. Need to wall treatment the wall area where the cabinets were
6. Kip wants to replace the sink/counter upstairs with the one we took out downstairs (it is much more updated)
That is just a start on our list but I will leave it at that.

On another note, I just talked to my mom and my Great Grandma Davis passed away last night. My heart aches but I also know that God eventually brings us home. She lived a very long and full life. I know that God will bring me home one day and I will see her again. I have always thought how blessed I am to have known almost all of my great grandparents. The only one that I didn't know passed away right before I was born. I am really lucky to have a professional picture of My Great Grandma Davis, My grandma, My mom, Me and Mackenzie from about 5 years ago. I will have to work on pulling it out - I dont have a digital form of it. 5 generations is pretty special, I think.
Anyhow - Please be thinking of and praying for my family right now. My grandpa just had surgery yesterday and now they are preparing for a funeral for my grandma's mother. My mom will be here tomorrow which is going to be a huge blessing. My grandma will have to travel out of town for the funeral so my mom will be around to help with my grandpa's recovery. That whole paragraph is a little confusing but I hope you get the idea!
Ok - I need to tend to Macy. She is on a stool at the kitchen sink filling up an empty milk container. Ugh.

Your Macy sounds soooo familiar. Was that in the name book?? I'll keep your family in my prayers. Sorry for your loss.
I'm very sorry about your great grandmother, that makes my heart hurt. On another note, I'd like to be a fly on the wall at your house. Y'all are so funny.
My thoughts and prayers are with you all! Love you!
So very sorry to hear about your Great Grandmother. That is wonderful you have known almost all of your Great Grandparents. I never knew any of mine. Are you guys still going to be able to make Sat? Email me.
I sooo understand you about the 2.5year old thing. Ryann is the same way right now and I feel like I'm going to go crazy. Hopefully it will get better soon. If not, we can go both find us a nice home at the funny farm in Terrell! Lol!
So sorry about your great grandmother. You guys are in our thoughts. Oh, I love the new header...so CUTE!!
I'm sorry to hear about your family. We're going through a trying time too. It can be such a lonely feeling.
I'll be thinking about you!
