Picture Day

Posted by Shauna |

Today was picture day at Mackenzie's School. I had completely forgotten and she reminded me this morning. What 4 year old actually remembers that it is picture day? Anyhow, I tried to find the cutest thing that she owns. (We haven't really done Spring 4-5 year old shopping yet) Well, she looked cute as can be and I am sure her pictures will turn out fabulous! I did find a picture today where I believe that my mom forgot about picture day:

Pink Sweat pants
Pink and Black Sweat Shirt
Tourquoise leg warmers
White tennis shoes (with pink shoe laces)
Scottie Dog Necklace
Jean bow in hair
So CUTE!!!!

....now....roomate, are you getting nervous that I got the scanner to work???? I am an expert now - I told you I would get it to work. So, Megan posted a sweet tribute to me on her blog on Monday and I was determined to find some pictures of her and get my scanner to work - so here is my montage. Check out www.mookarama.com for the story on Megan and Shauna from Megan's perspective. Of course, we all see things a little differently. Yes, I did have older friends and older boyfriends but I was still coming to churchcamp pretty much all alone. Megan was from Pleasant Ridge COC where EVERYONE else at Sooner was from. :0) So, it was vital that I become friends with these girls or I was on the outs forever. So - I did and we cabinned together at SYC every year from there on. Megan and I decided to be roomates in college and it was the best decision ever - she is one of my very best friends. She is one of the only people out there who can sympathize with me in my madhouse and can understand my tone of voice when I call. She also gets my humor and I get hers. I think that I am really funny and some people just don't get it. :0) Anyway... Here are some long awaited photos of my Roomate:

This is Megan at Sooner - probably our Senior Year of high school.

This is our Shakazulu and Starlight Mural that we painted in Nelson our Freshman year of College.

This is how I remember my roomate best!

So - there you go - I think that my last photo trumphs all of hers! I also wanted to post a picture of the painting that I made today. I was inspired to paint something - I used to paint alot when I was younger and I havent done it in a long time. But, I wanted to change up our front room - and this was the most affordable option. Here it is:

ROOMATE!!!! Oh my word, I am cracking up! That last picture...classic. Oh, I remember those yellow granny underwear that came from some other country. You definitely trumped me with the pics!

Love you, rm!
