Random Weekend Info

Posted by Shauna |

Well, Monday is here. We didn't do too much this weekend. I did take the kids to ChuckECheese on Friday - I used it as bargaining power the entire week. They were so good - not a single fight when we had to leave. Friday night we just hung around the house. Saturday, I had to work - I had a full schedule until about 5pm but 2 appointments cancelled so I got to come home around 11:00am. Yea for FLEXIBILITY! Saturday night, I had a brilliant idea that we could all work outside in the yard - I brought Macy's pack'n'play outside and everything. About an hour later, they had had enough - so we left Kip to keep working outside and we all went inside. What was a nice idea at first, turned into a huge project of lanscaping and mulching, etc for Kip. But our front yard looks great now - Yea Kip!
Sunday, I had a baby shower for my little sister Ashley - everything went really well. She got tons of STUFF which is what every mom needs - especially for the first baby. My cousin Angie invited Kenzie over to spend the night last night so Kenzie had a great night with Anslie and Hailie. Angie brought her home today at 6:30am - Macy and Chase were already awake - they were both up this morning at 5:30am. I am ready for the time change so they will sleep just a little longer. I even put a ghetto sheet up over Macy's window to trick her...not working. Anyhow, on the way to Kenzie's school this morning - she had a complete meltdown - so I brought her home and put her in my bed - she is sound asleep right now (10:30am). I am going to take her over to Kaycee's around noon before my first appointment. There really are some great perks that come with working out of the house - It is so nice to be able to take care of your children when they need you! That used to be such a conflict and now I have such peace with being able to handle work and family! I really don't think I could do any other job with 3 kids. People always ask me how I handle everyone and everything, and I have to say that I could not do a bit of it without a super-supportive husband...and a lot of prayer!
Ok - I was about to go out and take a picture of the front yard for your enjoyment - but the neighbor is out front and I dont want to look like a freak taking pictures of my yard! Maybe later!
