What a weekend - I am spent. Here is a rundown of Saturday - I woke up - got dressed (for work) - went to my mom's house to help her set up for a garage sale (around 8am), went to Staci's baby shower (so much fun! 10am), brought Mackenzie back to my mom's house, went to work (12ish), interviewed 2 students, drove back to my mom's house (3pm) to get Mackenzie, drove to Lewisville for Cooper's birthday party at ChuckECheese's(4pm), home around 5:30pm, "party" at our house around 6:15ish, in bed around midnight because we just didnt want the fun to end!
It was an exciting Saturday - today was Mackenzie's tea party which was wonderful - she loved it - I had it pretty easy - it was a hit! I have a few highlights and pictures from the party...
They were required to call Mackenzie - "Princess Mackenzie" throughout the whole party - as if she really needed that...There was only one catastrophe of one of the little girls spilling sizzling hot tea in her lap - maybe not the best idea to have a 5 year old pouring her own hot tea... They did a little parade and took this super cute picture out front...(also a great advertisement for the tea party place)
Oh -and here is one for the books...I bought her this little doodle stuffed dog thing for her birthday and as we were driving home she said to me "Mom, thanks for the little dog - I love it - and tell Kip thanks too." :0) She cracks me up - I have no idea what possesses her to say some of the things that she comes up with - so funny.
I dont have any pictures from the get-together with my girlfriends on Saturday night - everyone else took pictures and hopefully I can get my hands on them. I also believe that there are a few incriminating pictures of me allowing my children to take over bed time on Saturday as I did not feel like a good fight with an audience. So - that includes cookies and cheetos for a bedtime snack and them being up until 10-11ish. And no, they did not sleep in. As soon as those pictures are released - I will make sure to link to them. Anyhow - it was so great to see some old friends...and I do mean old..we counted up about 13 years of friendship that has been nothing but great. I really wish that we all lived closer so we could do that every weekend :) but maybe one day we will ... never know. But I cannot really tell you how much I appreciate you girls (they read the blog) and the support that you provide for me...and I mean that in such a psychiatrist/patient kind of way! :0) You are wonderful and I love you!
Ok - I need sleep desperately, so goodnight.
