Worst thing EVER...

Uhhhhhh........

I am still freaking out about this. So - last night Kip and I went out on the patio for a few minutes just chatting outside in the rain. We were petting the bunnies in the cage and talking away. Sweet precious bunnies.... Well, then we notice that the bunnies need food - as they often do because they eat a lot. So I go to grab their bag of food which is sitting on top of their cage. I lift it up slightly - it feels kind of heavy....then 2 rats jump out of the bag and scatter away!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I FREAKKKKKKKKKKKKKKK.....THROW THE BAG DOWN ON THE GROUD....SCREAM....NEARLY CRY...SCREAM AGAIN ..... THEN ANOTHER ONE RUNS OUT OF THE BAG....THEN KIP IS SCREAMING TOO......THEN I GRAB A BROOM TO JAB THE BAG WITH....KIP JABS THE BAG AND ANOTHER ONE RUNS OUT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

4 rats in the bunnies food. Who's genius idea was it to set the bunny food outside in our jungle yard? Sorry for fronting you out Kip...but it was you!!!!!

I was so frazzled for about half an hour! It was awful! I still cannot believe it. I officially hate rats. Oh - and Kip says they were mice but I am pretty sure they were rats...and since he screamed about it too - he may want to go with the rat theory.

Yeah- Probably not a good plan:)

I don't know if I should be grossed out or not though. Just think- You were feeding a family of cute furry animals- just not the ones you thought!

Once I walked out to the garage to get dog food around 10pm. As I was reaching into the dogfood bag, I realized a cat was eating out of the cat bowl at my feet-

ONLY it wasn't a cat, it was a possum. I can relate.

Gross, gross, gross!!! I think that mice or rats, whichever, have got to be some of the most disgusting creatures alive. So sorry that you were the one to lift the bag!

Dear Kip, please get a trash can with a very tight fitting lid for the bunny food.

ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha. I stepped on a mouse once and broke his back leaving him writhing around half dead on the floor. Ahhhh the pleasures of growing up on a cotton farm. True story!!

Ok. I've been where you are- only I put my hand in the a bag full of horse feed, and found a mouse crawling around in there. And I couldn't see it, and it couldn't get out. Terrifying.

And I have a great one- a rat in my shoe. I put my foot in my running shoe, while in college and it wouldn't go all the way in. So I take my foot out and I'm about to stick my hand in my shoe and I see this horrid, long, nasty tail. I freak out, throw the shoe down. Damn rat is still there. I call my dad- like he can help me- 100 miles away but he tells me to take the shoe outside and turn it upside down. So I do, and I'm screaming the entire time. It finally falls out and runs across my driveway.

Omg. That was horrible.
