Kelly is so sweet to have taken care of me for Christmas and given me a new layout. I found this Christmas quote a few days ago and I think it is so appropriate to this time of the year. I love the layout Kel - it is beautiful!
So you dont have to forget and feel awkward about it - I will go ahead and mention that today is my birthday! :) It has been really good so far! Fran stopped by last night to give me a card - she is so sweet! Kip wished me a Happy Birthday first thing this morning and Kenzie followed in tote - then they both went downstairs and made me a breakfast - EACH! I got a muffin and Kool-aid from Mackenzie and Fried eggs from Kip (my favorite). By my favorite - I was talking about the eggs - BUT - Kip is my favorite too!
I also wanted to mention that I have been working on making my Blog into a book. Staci did this with hers last year and again this year, I think, and I did some research to find some software to do it. I am so excited. Check out www.blurb.com - the software is free to download. So - once you have your book finished - you can purchase it if you decide. The books are SO reasonable also! I think this is going to be a great alternative to the baby books that I have completely neglected since about 2002.
Ok - well here are my birthday plans:
1. I already showered for the day (THIS IS HUGE)
2. Go to Hobby Lobby to spend gift card - it is burning a huge hole in my pocket
3. Go to Lowe's to spend gift card and $10 off coupon - I want to get paint for the girl's bedroom - it is killing me to have them in the same room and it be a bluish color
4. Go to the new Flower Mound WALMART!!!! So excited - Lame, I know - but whatever - it is new and supposedly the coolest, fanciest Walmart EVER.
5. Be home by Macy's nap-time so I can chill for an hour or so
6. Pick up Kenz
Ok - this list is so boring...minus the Hobby Lobby and Walmart adventures.
It is going to be a good day! Oh and 28 doesnt feel so bad. I love getting older - I really do - I know that I will take that back eventually - but as for this time in my life - it is only bringing more wisdom, peace, and...I really cant think of a third thing - it seems natural to list 3 things here but I cannot think of something else...so - I have a challenge for YOU today:
Leave a comment with ONE thing that getting older brings to my life! :0) This should be interesting!

Happy Birthday Shauna! Enjoy Hobby Lobby and the new WalMart! I hope your day is great! I hope getting older brings much happiness and no wrinkles!
Happy Birthday! I had forgotten that you and I are almost twins. (My birthday is tomorrow.) Aren't we lucky to be where we are in this life! I plan on enjoying every day of it and I hope you do the same!
Blessings,
Sue
HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO YOU,
HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO YOU,
HAPPY BIRTHDAY SHAUNA FABULOUS,
HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO YOU!
I hope you have a WONDERFUL day!
(And, I am SO glad you like your layout!) :)
Happy Birthday!!! I like the blog design (I noticed you begging Kelly for the black jean on her blog! lol)
Hmmm. I think the wrinkles are kinda nice! I think they show that you love to laugh and have enjoyed life! So I'm saying that the wrinkles are a good thing about growing older!
I forgot to leave my answer to your challenge question...
I think age brings you the ability to know yourself better. The older you get, the more you understand who you are as a person and what you want out of life. I am going to be 29 next month and I am excited! I am more comfortable with myself at this age then I have been with any other and I am sure it will just keep getting better and better with age :)
Love the layout! Happy B-day!
I have found that age has brought me APPRECIATION. For family, God, friends, life, etc.
Love ya!
Peace - Peace that I have succeeded in raising my children. Peace in seeing them raise their children. Peace in realizing that all 4 of my children understand that Family is the nucleus of Life.
Happy Birthday!!!!
I think getting older brings the ability to see and love yourself for who you are!
Happy Birthday, Shauna! Getting older makes me want to spend more time with my grandparents, since I know that they don't have much longer here with us and soaking up as much from them as I can!
Age provides the ability to make real friends and realize what makes real friends...
Happy birthday! I'm glad we are friends!
Sorry for the double-comment. I took your quiz (and by the way totally sucked at it) but anyways, what restaurant did ya'll meet at?
HAPPY 28th BIRTHDAY, SHAUNA!!
I love your new layout! And I love Kelly's blog about how FABULOUS you are. Completely true.
And to answer your question, after reading everyone else's comments, I don't really know what to add. Maybe greatfulness (is that a word?) Or blessed. Just more self aware of all that you have been given. ESPECIALLY when I look at "Hollywood" 28 year olds. They don't really have ANYTHING in their life, the way we do. Sure they have money and fame. But that doesn't even begin to compare to the love of children, adorement of a husband, and companionship of true friends.
Anyways- this is a long blog. HAPPY BIRTHDAY!
Lins
Happy Birthday, Shauna.
I don't have anything wise to say. Although- I do like getting older. Every year is better than the one before.
Except- sometimes I wish I could be totally irresponsible for 1 day! Wouldn't that be fun!?! It would be even more fun to spend that day with you!
I just turned 30 right before Bonnye actually (Oct 3) and I know that age has brought me an appreciation for the really important things in life; so perspective I suppose. I'm currently re-assessing what it is I want, why I want it and where I want to go.
