List of stuff

Posted by Shauna |

I have a few random things to post about. So this is always the best way to do it:

1. I got to go see Baby Blake yesterday. The kids and I made a trip to Ft. Worth and spent the afternoon with Meredith and Blake and even Ryan for an hour or so! It was wonderful. I always love spending time with Meredith and it just doesnt make a lick of sense to me why we dont see each other more often with how close they live to us. Blake is just precious. I have some pictures of her and I will post them tonight. She was so good the entire time that I was there and I am sure that she screamed and cried her little head off when I left - because she was so sad of course.

2. I am "interviewing" and comparing Real Estate companies right now trying to decide what is going to be best for me! I am really excited about it but I want to make a smart decision on who I work for. I have met with two companies and have 3 more appointments scheduled over the next few days. Please keep this in your prayers - I need to creatively fund ($1000 plus) the start-up of this career, I want to continue to keep my family first, and I want to find the best company out there...oh and I will need some business to start flowing in when I do get started. That is where all of you and your friends and family will come in to play! :)

3. I HAVE to get healthy! I have been eating cake every day. I have a serious issue...cake and coffee are becoming staple foods in my diet. Must change this! So - I want to get on the 2008 weight loss wagon. I need to loose about 20 pounds. I suck at eating well and at cardio exercise so I dont have too many options! :) JK...I am going to purchase some Smart Ones or whatever is cheapest on my next shopping trip to start eating those again. I did WW about a year ago and it was great! Those really help. So that will be lunch for the next 2 weeks - no excuses! I also commit to doing 3 morning workouts this next week in my house...getting up at 6am and doing them before I get everyone up and going. Ugh. So - I will weigh in today ...ugh....and get on this! Can you hear the ugh in my voice??? :) This will change! I am going to shoot for 2 lbs a week for 10 weeks - that puts me at my goal on April Fools Day - how appropriate! :)

4. I adore my family!! Kip - you are the only one who can read this - but I just want you to know that I love "us." I love that our house is so full of love - now we have our not so great times - but the scale leans toward love. There are more hugs and kisses that go on in this house than you could ever imagine. My kids randomly say "I love you" like crazy. I love it! It is so much fun and brings joy to my life every day! So, thank you family - you guys rock!

That's all I have for now - have an awesome weekend!!!

I was thinking about starting the myfooddiary.com again. I liked it better than WW because it keeps track of all of the nutrients that you eat not just the points. Why can't I just keep track of these things on my own without having to pay a website to do it for me...UGH!

My husband is the IT Director for Coldwell Banker DFW. Their home office is in Irving, but they have branch offices all over the place. They even have a Flower Mound office. He really loves working for that company. They really take care of their employees. Of course, he's not an agent, so I'm not sure how all that goes. You may have already spoken with them, but I can ask him what he knows about the manager at the Flower Mound office and see if he thinks that would be a good place for you to look. I'll let you know.

Myfooddiary.com is $9/month. I just found one called my-calorie-counter.com that is free but it is not as good.

We will be praying about the job thing. Good luck with the losing weight thing! I know it's not easy, especially when you are home during the day. When I was home before, I used to snack all of the time. It's hard.

We can bring a guest or two to the Rhodes Team Casino night. Wanna come? You would probably make some connections! Plus they are a Christian company which is always a good thing!:)

I was just talking to my sisters tonight about my eating habits. The past 3 nights I've eaten a huge dinner AND dessert. What is the deal? Christmas really wacks me out!

I wish I had the kind of drive you do. I'll be thinking about you in my dreams when you're up at 6am :-) I always love how you talk about your family...it's such a blessing to be surrounded by such loving and caring people!
