But I am TIRED!

I think I am still catching up from yesterday.

I just ordered a new card reader off of ebay so I should be able to get pictures of the camera as soon as it arrives - probably in a week. But when it does...oh my goodness...we will have pictures galore!

Also - I wanted to let you all know that Kip posted the notorious, fabulous Barbie on Craigslist. I had really hoped to get an email out and blog about it before he did that but I didnt...he is quick! So - before he makes any sealed deals - is anyone local looking for a wonderful family dog for a family that has bigger kids than ours or no kids at the moment.
I know that I have complained about Barbie alot - let me first say that I am just not a dog person in the first place - my family can vouch for that - {sorry Ginger!} - so part of my complaining comes from that - the other part is that she is so full of love and energy that she just knocks the kids right over when they want to be out running around with her. She is really good in the house. I finally broke her of coming upstairs to pee on the carpet. She is still teething a little so we still have bouts of chewing. She is afraid of thunderstorms. BUT - she is beautiful, and loving, and active...she NEVER barks - not kidding...she just wants to sit on your lap and be loved. Unfortunately, I already have 3 kids that want to be on my lap.

Anyhow - please comment if you might be looking for a dog!

I would love it if I knew the family that she went to so I could check up on her!

Ok - I am going to make some dinner - I have kind of been neglecting dinner lately - I need to get back on that bus!

I totally understand trying out a dog and it just not being a good fit for your family. She's a beautiful dog!!! I hope she finds the perfect home for her.

Be very careful about posting her on Craigslist. I posted our dog and was contacted by a rescue shelter. They said never "give" your dog to anyone on Craigslist. People take those dogs, cage them, and resell them. It's very sad. They recommend charging at least $50-$75. People willing to pay that are usually good to the animals. (We gave our dog to a No Kill Rescue and they adopted him out. BEST THING WE DID! YEAH, NO DOG HOUSEHOLD!!)

i hope Ryan does not see this post because he wants another dog. But with Lola AND Blake we are pretty busy. Good luck on the hunt for a great home. I agree with the previous comment...don't give her away.

I also needed to get back on the cooking bus. I cooked last night. I think it was the third time since I have been home with Blake.

Sorry about your dog. We had to give our yellow lab away because of some skin allergy issues. We still have a cocker spaniel, but he's afraid of the girls pretty much, so he stays outside a lot of the time.

To answer your question, no, I do not always look that cute at bedtime. Remember, I had just gotten back from a kids-free weekend...and it was 7:30, not my bedtime which is usually after 10:30!!!

Hey Shauna Bean
Start praying hard for me b/c I have a test on Monday....clearly I'm studying hard b/c I keep checking your blog.

Check out this website:
http://www.dfwcares.org/resourcebreed2.htm
Its a list of all the dog rescue groups in North Texas. Find the breed that Barbie is and contact that group. They'll take her off your hands and find her a good home.

In my ideal world, I'd be a dog rescuer, cook all day, and have babies...but alas...I am at medical school barely making it.
Love you long time!

Hi fellow Jennifer Bloggers and readers,

I write this to you cause' I have to set the record straight for my self and my wife.

I write this to you cause' I enjoy and respect the love you all have for my wife.

I write this to you because I believe in each and every one of your hearts...you want Jennifer to be happy and fulfilled.

I write this to you because you are Jennifer's friend and ultimately will support her in any decision that she makes.

I write this to you because you should know a little bit more about our love.

With this being said...I would like to quote a book and if you have a little more time........... a quote from Jennifer's writing called "John's Song". It is truly the most beautiful thing that I have ever read....and I believe you too will feel the same.

Setting the story up...I am Linda and Jennifer is Troy.

First....The Book...

Linda and Troy's marriage was miserable. Linda came from an extremely negative family environment where she had endured many unfair hardships growing up. Unfortunately, she dragged her unhappiness and negativism right into her marriage with Troy. If she didn't get her way, she would pout or throw a tantrum. Sometimes, she would pout for two or three days. Troy was a good man and a good husband, so he did almost anything to keep Linda happy. He was always encouraging her and letting her know that she was going to be ok.

Then it dawned on him that she would never change. He was finally fed up.

Troy boldly went to Linda and said,

"Honey, I Love You, but I realize there is nothing I can do to keep you happy. I have done everything that I can. So I'm just letting you know that I am finished trying."

You see...Troy's honest and heartfelt statement stunned Linda, forcing her to look inside herself and deal with the real issues.

That wake up call is true and took place more than twenty years ago, and today their marriage is stronger than ever.

Now a poem written by Jennifer called "John's Song"....it is the most beautiful thing that i have ever read and venture to say that whom ever reads this will feel the same....it goes as follows...

To John:

All the days of my life, I
wish to spend with you.

You are my first thoughts in the morning.
The last, when I go to sleep at night.

I wish to love you; to serve you; to please you; to laugh with you, to cry with you.

I desire to be your best friend; your lover; your temptress; your solid rock.

I desire you with a passion unrivaled.

I desire to be your only
desire.

I desire to take care of you;
to start a family with you; to
pray for you and our success.

All the days of my life, I wish to spend with you.

-Jennifer Abbott

My thoughts.......Punkin.

That song I write for YOU!

Your Loving Husband,
John

You can surrender her to the animal shelter. Isn't Flower Mound a "no kill" one???

I totally understand, too. We had a crazy dog who escaped all the time. We had to give him up.
