Zoo Field Trip

Posted by Shauna |

I think that maybe I am just a terrible mother.

I just got back from a Kindergarten field trip to the Zoo and it was MISERABLE!!!! In addition to 10 million rowdy 5 & 6 year olds - Macy and Chase were a little nuts. I am about to lay on the couch and pass out! My kitchen is a wreck - oh yeah - I was up at 4am so I went grocery shopping at 4:30pm - that probably doesnt help the way I feel right now. The groceries are all still on the counter Kip, sorry!

Macy SCREAMED at the very top of her lungs all the way home. It would have been fine but we rode with 3 other moms - so they had to take part in the little "session."

I am spent. So - I am going to take a little nap then get up and cook for my family!

Hi, My name is Angela and I have a blogging problem! I love to blog stalk and with that said, I stumbles upon yours form that blog where that girl created your cute header. I just wanted to tell you that I can relate to yo so well from, having a kindergartener about to go on a zoo trip to peeing while having a sneezing fit! You crack me up!

I recently went with Connor's pre-k class on a field trip, and I feel just like you do! It was not fun. And for me, it wasn't even the rowdy kids. It was Connor not wanting to do what everyone else was doing, and since I was there he thought that meant he didn't have to participate. And he cried. And got very ugly. And then didn't want to go back to school. It might just be the last field trip I go on with the c man.

I hope you have recovered!

WHY WHY WHY were you up at 4 AM? If you even DARE say you got up that early to work out I might just have to shun you!

Last year for our field trip we thought it was a good idea to take our students to the zoo...ALL 19 of them...remember I teach children with autism. It was a blast only one accident. BUT we are not doing that this year!

Yikes!!! I sent David on the zoo field trip with Wade this year. He said it wasn't too bad, but he said it was like Meg's experience with Connor. I think our kids are just too comfortable. It's frustrating knowing that if you weren't around, they would be angels. I'm glad you survived. I hope you get some rest.

Thank you for reminding me why I'm so glad I have to work and can't go with Jacob and his 2nd grade class on their zoo field trip!

Small world- I know someone you know! :)
My sister who is Cheri W/a "c" (Cas crew comedies) is friends with KCAIMEE. I started the blogger world and emailed a few of my close friends and family members. One day a girl friend of mine checked mine out and went to my sisters, Cheris and say BLAH BLAH BLOG and thought to herself, "no! That can't be my friend from TX." She clicks on it and sure enough a girl friend of mine is also a girl friend of yours!! Marna and I go to the same church and that is how we know each other. Which I am sure she probably already told you this story. But just in case I had to get on and let you know.
Have a wonderful week. Casey

4:30!! Was that AM!!! LOL!

I hate the 'episodes' that happen in public!!! You can't decide whether you're the bad mom or you just have a bad seed! :)
