Our car is in the shop again.
No....really.
It is.
It has been two weeks since we took it to City Garage (for the second time in about 2 months) - where the manager - when asked about how long this fix was going to last me -- said: {and let me quote him even though I told him that I wouldn't} "it should drive for about 6 months just fine..."
I thought - 6 months.
That is perfect. 6 months is pretty fair. Keep in mind that this luxury vehicle has many, many miles on it.
But no.
Not 6 months.
Not even 1 month.
13 days.
They want more of our money. We are not giving it to them. Instead we are going to bring it home and play automotive shop. Should be fun!

Oh no! Good luck fixing it yourselves. I have no mechanical aptitude at all, but I've always thought that would be fun!
Eeek! Bummer!
Perhaps you can barter with him (make him a website in exchange for work done???)
grrr. hate having a car in the shop!
Geez! Absolute craziness! Good-luck fixing your car. :-)
That totally stinks.
Miss Anne has a great idea.
I always wonder why parents are so hopeful that their kids will choose medicine or law professions, when what we all really need is a mechanic in the family.
Why will they not warranty the work they did on it themselves?
ARgggggggG! I'd be irate to say the least.
Do you have any idea what is wrong with it?
Good luck! I'll pray for your marriage. :-) (The last time my hubby and I tried to work on the car together we almost killed each other...)
I feel your pain! Stupid cars! Why must they be a neccesity?
I am so sorry about all the car hassles. No fun at all, but I am so happy to hear that Kip was able to fix it this last time. I bet you were both thrilled!
