So...it is cold today. Very cold.

A good friend of mine posted an amazing (& easy) Potato soup recipe today. I am totally going to the store tonight and making this tomorrow (while it is still cold). I mean...it will be 75 on Friday...but for now - we will pretend that it is winter and the week of Christmas!

So...that is next on the agenda! Christmas!! Ahhh...it's on Thursday!! Just thought I would remind you if you had forgotten. If it wasn't for Black Friday, I would probably be frantic right now, but I feel like everyone is taken care of for the big day.

We will be spending the day with family - Kip's immediate family all live in a 10 mile radius of us. My parents are staying in Florida this year. :( My youngest sister is there too. And most of you know that my younger sister, Randi, is incarcerated in Baton Rouge, LA. It will be a tough holiday not having her around, but we will have many more together eventually. Please keep our family in your prayers over the next few days. It has never crossed my mind - to be completely honest - but it is this year, I cant help but think of all the families that have to deal with this. There are so many men and women incarcerated and away from their families during the holidays. The prison system doesn't do much to make this time of year special. Anyhow..I could go on and on .... but I wont!
