She's Losing It: Her Butt That is

Posted by Shauna |

Well, I have been at this body transformation for exactly 1 Month!

I started on January 17th.

I am going to be really honest. This past month has been tough. My trainer is amazing and if it weren’t for her - I would have given up already. But - don’t lose hope in my - I had a good day yesterday. Let me explain:

When I started this journey, I can remember saying to Laci, “I will transform quickly - trust me…I always have.”

It is a month later and I am exactly 160lbs. The exact same weight.

We have been training 3 days a week. The workouts are tough. I am eating much better than I was (not perfectly, but much better). Drinking more water. And so on and so on. This weekend, I started thinking, maybe I am just getting older. Maybe my body doesn’t work like it used to because I am 29 (sheesh, I have tons to look forward to if 29 is giving me this much trouble.)

Laci will even come to my house to train me in the backyard when I am being a slacker.

Then, yesterday came like a beacon of light.

I had an appointment with Dr. Ozzi - you may remember him from our initial appointment in Week 1. I finally got my blood work done and he evaluated 3 PAGES worth of stuff in my blood. (”Stuff” is a pretty big medical term I like to use.) Based on his evaluation, there are some internal things that are keeping me from getting the most out of my workouts and diet. He has put me on about 6 different vitamins that will help my “insides” to work with what I am doing on the outside.

I am so anxious to see if this makes a difference in my results. Please keep cheering me on - I need every bit of it right now! As if those bikini pictures weren’t enough motivation.

Hang in there! I would guess that it definitely takes time. I'm finding that the years have made a difference with me too - and I'm 40. You can do it, Shauna!

Good for you for keeping up the work even when you have not had good results. I hope the vitamins help things work better. I love reading about your progress.

Shauna! I know it's easy to only think about the weight and what the scale says in terms of success but how do you feel? Don't you feel that you are succeeding? You made a plan and you're sticking with it! That IS success! You're on the journey and good for you girl.

I'm so glad you're back. I hate hearing that things haven't changed for you, but good for you for keeping it up. And awesome that he figured out what was up and vitamins should help. That's awesome. May I ask what types of vitamins he put you on?

I'm so proud of you, girl! I can't get my hand out of the cookie jar long enough to think about working out yet.

I started a workout program this summer and worked my hiney off for six weeks without losing a pound. I was very discouraged. Then, at six weeks, I dropped about 4 pounds all at once. I read that when you first start a new routine, your body will retain water, etc. to make sure you are really going to keep it up! So, don't give up! You will see results if you stick with it!

Keep working hard. It will pay off. I have been going strong for 8 weeks and seeing some good results, other than my "blood work" the big fancy word you spoke of. But armed with those results I am only steeled to ensure I meet my goals and show the middle finger to my pancreas. You can do it my friend.

And I am sure your month of PAIN was for naught. It will mean when the vitamins kick in you'll have a head start!!
Keep it up Little Momma!

Shauna,
Stay off the scale for a while...it's only going to discourage you. Most people give up b/c of the scale. Keep in mind you will gain muscle weight so the scale means nothing for a while...most people start seeing results by the third month. Keep it up! And, yes, the vitamins are imperative..you have to supplement!
