Ok - I am finally finding some time to tell you a little bit about our Jamaica trip. First of all - the trip there was like a bad dream. We each had a bagel at about 8:00 am and boarded the plane at 9:00am. Took off at 9:45am. The pilot announced around 10:30am that it was going to be a long day - he had no idea. We were returning to DFW airport because of something with the cap on the oil. Did you know that when the plane is to heavy to land that they just spew gasoline into the air above us? They do - it was very alarming - I try not to spend too much time outside now. ;) We finally landed (greeted by about 10 fire trucks and ambulances) - everything was fine and we took off for Jamaica about an hour later. We landed in Jamaica around 4:30pm. Oh - and we had not eaten anything but pretzels all day. There are no restaurants in the arrival area of the Jamaica airport so we did not get to eat anything there either. It was raining in Jamaica which is really not a big deal and we got in a van to be on our "2 hour drive" to Ocho Rios. Well, it was not just raining that one day in Jamaica - it had been raining for a few days and all of the roads were washed out and flooded - we were in the van (picture of van companions will follow) for 7 HOURS!!!!! It was aweful - and we still had not eaten. I guess it is not a bad idea to start off a swimsuit vacation with fasting for 16 hours. We finally arrived at the hotel around midnight - they kept the restaurant open for us and life was good again. The rest of the trip was so much fun. We made some friends and spent some time alone which was much needed. Here are a few of the pictures.
