I took this from my friend Kelly's blog because it touched me this morning...go ahead and read then I will expand on it...
There once was a woman who woke up one morning, looked in the mirror, and noticed she had only three hairs on her head.
Well," she said, "I think I'll braid my hair today?"
So she did and she had a wonderful day.
The next day she woke up, looked in the mirror and saw that she had only two hairs on her head.
"H-M-M," she said, "I think I'll part my hair down the middle today?"
So she did and she had a grand day.
The next day she woke up, looked in the mirror and noticed that she had only one hair on her head.
"Well," she said, "today I'm going to wear my hair in a pony tail."
So she did and she had a fun, fun day.
The next day she woke up, looked in the mirror and noticed that there wasn't a single hair on her head.
"YEA!" she exclaimed,
"I don't have to fix my hair today!"
Attitude is everything.
Be kinder than necessary, for everyone you meet is fighting some kind of battle.
Live simply.
Love generously.
Care deeply.
Speak kindly.
Leave the rest to God.
Yesterday at church, our pastor preached about Encouragement. And this last statement touched me just like yesterday's sermon did. Everyone is fighting some kind of battle and we have things that we can do to encourage and uplift others.
Lift them up in Prayer
Encourage them through our words
Remind them of God's Promises
Share our Own Experiences
There are many more things that we can do but these are just a few that he touched on yesterday and that rang true with me.
Also - kind of on another note - I am reading a great book right now and I really want to encourage you to pick it up if you can find it. It is Every Woman's Marriage by Shannon Ethridge. There is an Every Man's Marriage also - Kip is reading that one right now. It is an amazing book and if you are looking for an encouraging read right now - definitely pick it up!
Ok - well I have some awesome pictures of the kids on my camera but I left it at home - I will make sure to upload them tomorrow for you!
Happy Monday!

I am so glad that you put this on your blog. It touched me as well, especially with everything going on with my grandfather ( I will blog about that later). It reminds me that no matter how frustrating work is or how bad traffic is, I am still blessed. Your comment brought tears to my eyes this morning! Have a great day! Love you.
What a great encouragement! I've read Every Young Woman's Battle (I did a Bible study with the youth group girls) and it was awesome. I've always wanted to get one of her other books...but I just haven't yet. Thanks for reminding me!
I needed that today. Thanks!
I love how positive you are! You sound like me!
I would love it if my husband would read a book about marriage, but that will take hell freezing over, I'm pretty sure. Sad.
You're lucky. My SIL is lucky b/c my brother will read too.
