God has finally blessed us with a dog that is PERFECT for our family!!!! YAY! We have had some not so perfect additions in the past that didn't last long and Barbie is here to stay! She is 8 months old and HUGE but she is so gentle and sweet. At the adoption center, they let us know that she is a Mastiff Hound mix. So - she is a little leaner than you picture a Matiff to be. She has not had a single accident in the house (thank God)...and she sleeps in a precious little pallet next to our bed at night. She does have a bit of a snoring problem and puts out killer toots but other than that she is great.
We decided to keep the name Barbie because nothing else was sticking. She is very obedient - and a little on the lazy side. Completely ok with that! But she is very protective of her family and could pin down a grown man in no time. So - we have added security at the Callaghan house! You know how little dogs have the little dog syndrome...well Barbie has an "I am a huge dog that belongs on your lap" syndrome.
