Christmas Pictures & A Suprise

Posted by Shauna |

This picture is a perfect description of how we felt on Christmas! And I am not sure if you can tell from the shadows in the living room...but it was still dark outside as we celebrated this wonderful day!Mackenzie...posing for a picture...no....Although she looks like she is sharing with me here, Macy's favorite word this Christmas was "MINE"

And, an action picture!!
Not sure if you can tell...but the sun was out by the time that we arrived at Nini & Opi's house! All the kids got new bikes!! YAY!!!
Ok...now for the suprise part. I also had an exciting Christmas. Kip and I decided to get creative this year with our new-found stay at home mom budget. So...we put a small limit on our presents. I love Kip dearly. He is an amazing man and a wonderful dad, etc, etc...not such a great Christmas present purchaser. Well that is in the PAST! Kip rocks!

Let me tell you a short story. When I left my job back in September, I told Kip that I would really love to get my nose pierced. I have always wanted to do this but never been able to with a professional position. He wasnt too thrilled with the idea when I first presented it - I was pretty sure that it wasnt going to happen...ever. I just wanted to get a teeny tiny diamond that could be mistaken for a piece of glitter if you werent really looking closely.

Well, Christmas came and Santa Kip did good!!! He bought me a little thing of nose studs and told me that I could get it done!

So - we went and did it last night.

I have a few pictures. The one that I have in is a little bigger than what I will end up with. They have a standard size that they have to put in at first. And yes...it HURT. Worse than any of my tattoos. Ugghhh....it hurt. I almost passed out. I was already kind of sick - I probably should have waited until today...but oh well! I love it so much!
My mom is here and stayed with the kids while we went last night...so that parent is checked off. As for you dad...I know you are reading this right now thinking that I am out of my mind. Sorry Dad! I love you!
Ok - also...If you havent stopped reading this already...To all my Pleasant Ridge COC friends: I am going to be at your church this weekend! Yay! My grandparents 50th Wedding anniversary party is this weekend and our whole family will be taking over a few pews on Sunday morning! Hope to see some of you!!!

Yeah!!! I'm glad we will get to see you at church. I guess you already know but we are only having one service at 10:00am this Sunday. If your whole family wants to sit together, you better get there early. We did the same thing last Sunday and my whole family was in town. We had to span out over the auditorium because there were not enough seats together. Can't wait to see you!!!

I am so excited about the nose piercing. I have wanted mine done too; and technically I could since I'm my own boss. But now that you say it hurt. OMG! How bad was it really? and did it last a long time? Now I'm scared!

We were seriously separated at birth! I had mine pierced for awhile but had to take it out when I got a 'real' job. I miss it so much!

You are seriously brave. But then again you have tattoos, and I'm too big of a wimp to even get that! Is that really your eye color, too? They are so beautiful! Glad your Christmas was amazing!

I secretly want this too but my husband would flip and not in a good way. You go and I will live vicariously through you.

Way to go Kip! That's impressive to remember a comment in September and deliver in December. I've just started emailing Stephen my list of "wants and needs." I know, can you say, "anal compulsive?"
